Thinking of Haiti – Our Folk are Thinking and Doing

Before he left, I told Jeff Stein to be safe and to do good.  I gave him a hug and watched him head off to Haiti.  Jeff made it.  He’s serving with Mutual Aid Disaster Relief in Haiti to help heal those in need.  Sisters and brothers in Haiti; sisters and brothers helping in Haiti; and, brother Jeff deserve and will get my good thoughts.  Much respect.

BU Today reports on professors, students, and alumni offering their expertise to Haitian leaders. Again, much love and much respect to those who have lived their lives in unbearable circumstance and those of us who stop what we do to go and make it better.

Finally, I know many folk are interested in a way that we, as a university community, can put our resources together to help.  I’m working with a variety of folk to try to figure out a way to put forth our collective best efforts — we’ll get back to you, soon.  I found an article on giving helpful for my personal decision-making.

Peace.
