This course was specifically designed with the AP Spanish test in mind for students preparing for that test or for anyone interested in a course in basic Spanish, at the level of an upper-year high school or introductory college course.

In this course, participants learn about the “teaching as research” framework. This framework is a deliberate, systematic, and reflective use of research methods used to develop and implement teaching practices that advance the learning experiences and outcomes of both students and teachers.

In Alien Worlds, Professor Andrew West delved into the scientific quest for life beyond Earth, offering students a detailed examination of our solar system, NASA exploration, and the discovery of 500 planets orbiting the skies.

In Ethical Leadership: Character, Civility, and Community, Professor Walter Earl Fluker delves into theoretical and practical elements of ethical leadership with emphasis on leaders’ personal narratives within social historical contexts. Three specific areas of ethical leadership will be emphasized: morally-anchored character, transformative acts of civility, and a sense of community.

This physics course was designed to expose teachers of introductory physics, from novice to experienced, to effective tools for teaching physics at the high school level. Course participants learned (or re-learned) basic concepts, including Newton’s laws, motion, momentum, and energy. The course allowed them to become more competent and engaging teachers by familiarizing themselves with the historical development of these concepts, and with the physics education research literature about ways to teach the concepts effectively.

This four-part professional education course allowed learners to explore the core legal concepts underlying compliance – the new paradigm in corporate accountability and risk management. The course was designed for lawyers seeking to enter this growing field of practice. Top academics and practitioners explained the impact on transnational business operations, and the steps that enterprises can take to mitigate risk of civil and criminal liability.

This course teaches participants the tools and techniques to become data-driven or “evidence-based” managers, providing both a hands-on introduction to the concepts, methods and processes of business analytics as well as an introduction to the use of analytics as the basis for creating a competitive advantage.

In this course, participants learn about the key decisions, underlying tradeoffs, and implementation decisions needed for each phase of the product life and master business and organizational logic to ensure product success in the marketplace.
