Resources for New and Early Career Faculty at CSN
The Center for Systems Neuroscience (CSN) provides an interdisciplinary and interdepartmental structure to promote research, foster collaboration, and enhance recruitment of new faculty in systems neuroscience at Boston University.
Systems neuroscience has been a major strength of research at Boston University. The Boston University Center for Systems Neuroscience (CSN) is established to provide a unifying collaborative and administrative structure designed to further enhance research, foster collaboration, and enhance recruitment of new researchers in the field of systems neuroscience in multiple colleges and departments on both the Charles River Campus and Medical Campus.

Faculty
CSN includes over 90 faculty in multiple colleges and departments on both the Charles River Campus and Medical Campus.
Trainings
Boston University offers both undergraduate and graduate training programs in neuroscience, and faculty in the Center for Systems Neuroscience participate in these training programs. In addition, the Center offers a limited number of postdoctoral fellowships for researchers who will contribute to the development and use of new techniques in systems neuroscience.
CSN Seminars and Symposiums
The Center hosts a number of visiting faculty throughout the year. Learn more about upcoming events and visitors.

Facilities
Research in systems neuroscience at BU is conducted in nearly 80 individual research laboratories across the university. This research is also supported through shared core facilities, including those for animal care and imaging.
A subset of CSN researchers, as well as the center’s administrative staff, are housed in the Rajen Kilachand Center for Integrated Life Sciences & Engineering. The Kilachand Center houses facilities for experimental systems neuroscience research in animals and for functional imaging in human subjects.
Affiliations
There are a number of interdisciplinary research centers and initiatives across Boston University related to CSN, including the Cognitive Neuroimaging Center and the Neurophotonics Center.
