Ye Liu, Director of Program Administration, oversees the administrative operations of the degree and certificate programs in the Computer Science Department, ensuring that departmental operations run smoothly and align with the strategic goals of MET College. She partners closely with the Chairs to support the strategic recruitment, appointment, and staffing of faculty and facilitators. She cultivates strong relationships with faculty and online facilitators, providing ongoing support and guidance to ensure successful program operations. She also leads the department’s staff team and collaborates with related departments to develop and implement strategic enrollment management initiatives for both online and on-campus programs.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in law and two master’s degrees: one in Business Information Systems and another in Instructional Design and Learning Sciences. She has over 15 years of experience in higher education, leading and mentoring instructional design teams to design and develop high-quality, pedagogically sound online courses, with a strong focus on learner and faculty experiences across multiple academic programs, while fostering team problem-solving and professional growth.

Her research focuses on cognitive learning principles, teaching and learning effectiveness across different modalities, metacognition, growth mindset, and inclusive design and support. Her collaborations with faculty have earned a Blackboard Exemplary Course Award and resulted in multiple conference presentations.

Outside of work, she enjoys jogging, knitting, and spending time with her family.
