Kimberly Owen

Kim Owen is currently a Director of Data Engineering at The Hartford Financial managing multiple teams within the Data Science organization. Prior to this, Kim was a Senior Security Analyst for 5 years focusing on protecting The Hartford from external and insider threats by designing, developing, and owning security solutions to improve Data Loss Prevention controls, performing forensic analysis and investigative response activities, as well as overseeing external risk assessments. She also has been a Developer and Technical Lead on The Hartford’s direct to consumer e-commerce websites, and a Storage Engineer within the Converged Infrastructure team. Since 2013, she has been a facilitator for BU MET CS 200: Fundamentals of Information Technology.
