George Ballesteros is the IT Security Director for the Application Security & Cryptographic Services Group at Fidelity National Information Services (FIS).  George is a 23 year Information Technology veteran of the financial industry  where he has focused the last 19 years of his career in supporting firms in their Risk Management and Cybersecurity needs. During this time, George has become a versatile and results-oriented cybersecurity leader with a strong risk management, application security, & security project management background.

Over the last 10 years, George has concentrated in application security where he has developed a successful record of designing, implementing, and leading static code analysis, dynamic code analysis, penetration testing, and  encryption programs. George’s most notable accomplishments over the last decade has been in the leading of new enterprise level programs or in the re-engineering of outdated processes, programs, and teams.

George holds a MS Computer Information Systems degree from Boston University and a BS Biochemistry degree from the City University of New York. Since 2013, he has been a facilitator for MET CS 625: Business Data Communication and Networks, MET CS 674: Database Security, MET CS 684: IT Security Policies and Procedures and MET CS 782: IT Strategy and Management.
