Carl has worked as a successful consultant, coach, and project and program management practitioner for over 40 years. His early work experience includes engagements in several industries including defense (Trident Nuclear Submarine Program), construction (Turner Construction Company), and computer software and services (Digital Equipment Corporation). His later work years involved numerous consulting and training engagements for an even more expansive set of industries (manufacturing, consumer goods, environmental engineering, finance).
In the last nine years Carl’s work has focused on the causes and effects of complexity on individuals and organizations. He has co-authored a number of books on project complexity incorporating the contributions of neuroscience in the furtherance of understanding the origins of human behavior in project decision making and interpersonal interactions.
Carl was an early recipient of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and now holds the PMP Retired certification.
