Andy Phillip

I obtained my undergraduate degrees in Computer Science and Psychology from Suny at Buffalo. After graduating I joined IBM as a Network Engineer. I was part of a team at IBM’s facility in Somers NY that designed and built a new network based on the emerging Ethernet technology. As a network engineer I obtained several Cisco certifications which include the CCNA, CCNP, CCDA and CCDP. I have spent the last 12 years of my career in the field of Information Security. My experience include vulnerability management, patch management, security compliance, incident response, PKI, security policy management, risk management/assessments, encryption, DLP. I am a CISSP, and obtained my MSCIS degree at Boston University. I am a new facilitator for the online program; however having recently completed this program (May 2015), I am able to identify with the dedication it takes to complete each course in the program.
