iOS Developer

As an iOS Developer at MobileAware you will work as part of a multifaceted team to deliver the next generation of customer service on mobile devices – this is a chance to build software that really matters.  You will have the opportunity to tangibly impact customer service experiences for millions of users across the globe.

Responsibilities

• Accurately estimate development timelines from wireframes and functional specifications

• Meet deadlines established by accurate project estimates

• Work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment including effective use of source control tools such as Git

• Write clean and efficient code with appropriate use of comments

• Consider the implications of performance limitations of battery life, CPU and memory availability to implement robust and efficient solutions

• Develop comprehensive unit tests for your deliverables

• Clearly articulate thoughts and ideas both verbally and in writing

• Apply knowledge of current iOS development trends and technologies
Requirements

• Thorough understanding of software development technologies including:

  • C / Objective-C
  • JSON / XML

• Thorough understanding of OOP, threading / asynchronicity, memory management, and design principles

• Experience working with Xcode and Instruments including strong debugging skills

• Experience developing and publishing apps for the iOS App Store

• Experience with common iOS frameworks including:

  • CoreAnimation
  • MapKit
  • CoreLocation
  • CoreData
  • CFNetwork

• Experience consuming JSON and XML RESTful web services

• Exceptional communication skills – both oral and written

• Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail

• Flexible and adaptable; able to manage shifting priorities / deadlines

• Understanding of and passion for the digital space

• Available to start immediately and work full-time at our office in Downtown Boston

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Pluses

• Android/Blackberry development experience

• Experience with user interface design

• Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop or Fireworks

• Experience with Web development technologies including: Javascript, HTML5, CSS, .NET, C#, VB.NET, Django, PHP

• A robust sense of humor
