Edward Matthews

Ed has over 25 years of experience designing and supporting security tools and applications. He enjoys building applications and writing scripts that bridge the gap between databases and other third-party tools. He loves the challenge of tracing data from the firewall through the internal systems (i.e., app servers, web servers, load balancers) to the database. Knowing where data sits and being able to find issues via logs, etc., is a challenge but can be rewarding when a high-level issue is resolved. Ed was recently featured in an article for CIO magazine about data analytics.

Currently, he is focused on security orchestration and the synergy of security tools. Cloud security and NoSQL products are also of interest to him.
