Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam Overview
Professor Vijay Kanabar will be teaching an online Project Management Professional (PMP) Exam Overview starting Friday, December 18th. This online course provides an overview of the PMP certification. This week, he will provide an overview of the course, describe the PMP process, cover some material and describe how this free overview course differs from the PMP Bootcamp paid version. If you are interested in joining, registration is not required for the overview.
Attendees are introduced to the PMP exam as well as the ten knowledge areas and 47 processes contained in PMBOK 5th Edition. The course is partitioned by the five process areas and you must study them either by yourself or in teams that we will organize.

- Friday, December 18th – Overview and applications/Initiation Phase
- Saturday, December 26th – Planning Processes Overview
- Saturday, January 2nd – Planning Processes Overview
- Saturday, January 23rd – Execution Phase
- Saturday, January 30th – Monitor & Control Phase
- Saturday, February 6th – Closing & Wrap-Up
Videos from previous sessions will be made available.
Required Textbook:
1) PMBOK Guide 5th Edition, Available for free to all PMI members.
2) Other free resources will be provided in the overview course.
