CS357 Students Present Final Projects at Infosec Breakfast and Poster Session
This morning, students in Sharon Goldberg’s Introduction to Information Security (CS357) course at Boston University presented their final projects during the Infosec Breakfast and Poster Session. Fifteen students showcased posters analyzing real-world cybersecurity incidents and vulnerabilities, including a bank compromised through a file-sharing tool (Western Alliance Bank), a health system breached via a VPN vulnerability (the UK NHS), widespread organizational compromises linked to a database weakness (Snowflake), telecom systems affected by unpatched routers (Salt Typhoon), and government agencies targeted through SharePoint vulnerabilities. The session provided an opportunity for students to engage with peers, faculty, and industry professionals, discuss their analyses, and reflect on the skills and knowledge gained throughout the semester.
