We are thrilled to share that Deepti Ghadiyaram, Assistant Professor of Computer Science in the College of Arts & Sciences, has been awarded a Moorman-Simon Interdisciplinary Career Development Professorship at Boston University.
Each year, BU’s Career Development Professorships recognize outstanding early-career faculty who are emerging as leaders in their fields. The Moorman-Simon award, in particular, honors faculty conducting truly interdisciplinary research that bridges multiple schools and colleges across the University.
Professor Ghadiyaram’s research focuses on developing language modeling and artificial intelligence (AI) systems for sign language recognition, in collaboration with colleagues from both the Charles River and Medical Campuses. Her work exemplifies BU’s commitment to advancing inclusive, cross-disciplinary innovation in AI and accessibility. Congratulations!
