Open Postdoctoral Associate/Lecturer Position – Applications Due September 9
The Department of Chemistry at Boston University invites applications for a full-time teaching and research Postdoctoral Associate Lecturer (PAL) opening starting January 1, 2023. This innovative program, formerly the Postdoctoral Faculty Fellow (PFF) program, is designed for recent Ph.D. recipients planning to pursue teaching-focused academic careers. Candidates must be capable of supporting the teaching of first-year undergraduate General Chemistry and Inorganic Chemistry. Initial appointments are full-time for one year and are renewable based on satisfactory performance. The duties of the appointment are divided roughly equally between teaching and research. The teaching component will involve guided experiences in teaching undergraduate courses with opportunities to develop new curricula and implement innovative teaching methodologies. Research is conducted in affiliation with a faculty research group.
