Conversation with Till Producer Fred Zollo (CAS’75) and CFA Dean Harvey Young

On Monday, January 30, the BU community of students, alumni, faculty, and staff, made their way to BU’s Howard Thurman Center for Common Ground to hear from award-winning Broadway and film producer Fred Zollo (CAS’75) and CFA Dean Harvey Young on Zollo’s new film, Till.

The 2022 film Till tells the true story of Mamie Till-Bradley. An educator and activist, Till-Bradley pursued justice after the 1955 brutal murder of her 14-year-old son Emmett Till, who was kidnapped and beaten by white supremacists for allegedly whistling at a white woman.

The conversation with Zollo and Dean Young centered around the legacy of Emmett Till and the urgency and relevance of his story in today’s world. The event was followed by a reception.

Thank you to all the BU community members who attended the event! To see upcoming CFA events, please visit the CFA Calendar.
