BUSTi will return in 2027

About BUSTi

The Boston University Summer Theatre Institute is a four-week pre-college experience for highly motivated high school theatre artists. 

Throughout the program, students engage with Boston University and the professional artistic community throughout the greater Boston area. Students graduate from BUSTI having honed their technique, depth of intellectual and artistic questioning, playfulness in collaboration, and ability to tell a dynamic story through the theatrical medium.

BUSTI remains on hiatus, as we work to update the program with new courses and goals that reflect the current world of theatre. We had hoped to return to our programming in summer 2026, but after recent discussions, we have realized that the program is not quite ready to run. We are postponing the launch of our revised BUSTI program to summer 2027, where it will return as a day program, rather than the residential program that it had been.
