Sungjoon Park's research lies at the intersection of Extreme Value Theory and Deep Learning, with an emerging interest in Scientific Machine Learning (SciML). He is currently developing calibration models for weather forecasts under the supervision of Professor Aguêmon Yves Atchadé. His work aims to improve both predictive accuracy and statistical fidelity for rare but high-impact events such as heat waves and extreme precipitation. Learn more about Sungjoon.
