
Rachelle Regan
Building Programs Manager
Rachelle Regan joined Boston University’s Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences in Spring 2024 as Building Programs Manager, where she oversees the day-to-day operations and strategic use of CDS spaces, including the building’s primary event venue and student-focused areas. Her work centers on creating functional, welcoming, and sustainable environments that support academic, research, and community engagement.
Prior to joining CDS, Rachelle served as Senior Office Manager for Financial Affairs at BU, supporting the University Controller and Senior Vice President of Financial Affairs. In this role, she led operational coordination across 13 departments and played a key leadership role in advancing sustainability initiatives, helping the division achieve Gold Level Green Department Certification. She also co-created and supported the Financial Affairs Green Team, embedding long-term sustainability goals into daily operations and workplace culture.
In her current role, Rachelle leads space planning, room reservations, building access, security clearances, and on-site support for faculty, staff, and students. She ensures the reliable operation of all CDS audiovisual systems and serves as the primary point of contact for assigned spaces. Her work includes coordinating faculty office hours, tutoring and exam accommodations, overseeing the 5th Floor CDS Student Pavilion, supporting CDS faculty and departments across BU with event planning and management, and facilitating high-impact programming such as the CDS AI Hiring Initiative and Faculty Fellows program.
Rachelle regularly collaborates with University leadership to plan and support high-profile events hosted by the Office of the President, Provost, Alumni & Development, Sustainability, and Government Affairs. She also leads and supervises the CDS front desk student employees, providing training, guidance, and daily operational leadership to ensure a positive and well-organized building experience.
In partnership with BU Sustainability, Rachelle supervises the CDS Student Tour Guides program and leads communication and education efforts around the building’s zero-waste protocols. She is currently pursuing a self-designed interdisciplinary degree in Sustainability with a focus on Communications and Psychology, reflecting her commitment to systems thinking, inclusive leadership, and creating spaces that work better for people and the planet.
