
Kelsey Block
Graduate Program Advisor
Kelsey joined the Faculty of Computing and Data Sciences in 2026 as a Graduate Program Advisor. In this role, she supports both MS and PhD students studying Data Science.
Before joining CDS, Kelsey served as an academic advisor for undergraduate students in BU’s Sargent College of Heath and Rehabilitation Sciences. She also worked advising liberal arts students at Penn State University. Kelsey holds a Master’s of Education in Higher Education from Penn State and a Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Humanities and Journalism from Michigan State University.
On a more personal note, Kelsey grew up on her family’s dairy farm in rural Michigan. Her experiences as a first-generation college student fuel her passion for academic advising and working in higher education. Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys reading, hiking, cooking, and spending time with her family and pets.
