Jolan von Plutzner
PhD Student
Jolan von Plutzner is an incoming PhD student studying in the Barnes Lab at Boston University’s Faculty of Computing and Data Sciences. Her research focuses on the development of machine learning methods to explore predictability of the earth system on subseasonal-to-seasonal timescales. She received a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley. Prior to her work in the atmospheric and computing sciences, Jolan worked for Apple as a product design engineer specializing in thermo-mechanical interface design. Learn more about Jolan
