
Erin Murdock
Financial Manager
CDS welcomed Erin Murdock as the department’s new Financial Manager in the summer of 2022. In this capacity, Erin oversees and supports all financial processes related to the programmatic and administrative operations of the unit. This includes the annual budgeting process, student hiring and payroll, ongoing financial administrative transactions, and budget reconciliations and confirmations.
With an aptitude for organization and management and a drive towards academic excellence, Erin is determined to “find creative ways to apply [her] higher education and finance background” to the CDS workspace.
Erin is no stranger to BU–she earned her Master of Education from the Wheelock College of Education and Human Development and recently completed her Master of Business Administration from Questrom School of Business,
Prior to her work and studies at BU, Erin earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Gender Studies from Mount Holyoke College, and also holds a certificate in Queer, Trans, and Sexuality Studies.
Her transition from advising in higher education coupled with her current studies has equipped her with the expertise to support the department’s financial services and promote faculty advancement.
Erin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to CDS, including her exceptional organizational and management skills. She hopes to promote CDS's ongoing development and success and continue growing in her position and with her team.
