Chris Seferlis is a Director of Technology Strategy at Microsoft, where he has spent the past 7 years helping customers transform their business through data and artificial intelligence solutions. With over 25 years of IT experience—including previous roles as a CIO and founder of CBS Technology Group—Chris brings a uniquely practical perspective to enterprise technology challenges. He holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts and is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, combining business acumen with deep technical expertise in cloud architecture, data warehousing, business intelligence, and Azure solutions.

At the intersection of industry and academia, Chris teaches in the online master’s program at CDS since 2022, where he is known for his ability to translate cutting-edge enterprise practices into accessible learning experiences. His students consistently praise his practical, industry-focused teaching approach that bridges classroom theory with real-world professional challenges. In 2023, he co-authored A Practical Guide to Azure Cognitive Services and OpenAI, a comprehensive resource for technology leaders seeking to implement effective AI strategies, from natural language processing to predictive analytics. He is also an acclaimed keynote speaker on topics including data strategy, innovation, and the organizational impact of artificial intelligence.
