Charles McGinn

Charles McGinn joined the CDS Communications Team in May of 2023. As the first BU Faculty of Computing & Data Sciences Communications Specialist, Charles has molded this role into one that supports the unique needs, goals, and missions of CDS. Collaborating with the rest of the Communications Team, he works to maintain and highlight the CDS identity by managing projects involving graphic design, website development, social media engagement, general content creation, and more.

A proud BU alum, Charles graduated from the College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During his time as a student he mentored and taught undergraduates across disciplines, and was involved in the leadership of several student organizations and initiatives. Now, Charles has brought his experiences to CDS to continue connecting with students, staff, and faculty in order to further build the growing community here.

In his free time, Charles enjoys being in nature and getting involved in sustainability efforts. He regularly volunteers for Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition and is passionate about creating positive impact in all avenues of life.
