Catie Kim

Director of Special Initiatives (Development & Alumni Relations)

Catie Kim joined CDS in October 2023 as the Director of Special Initiatives.

As part of BU’s Special Initiatives team, Catie coordinates efforts between the office of Development & Alumni Relations and CDS. She serves as a resource and connector, working to secure private support and build meaningful and impactful partnerships with CDS.

Catie’s more than 12 years of experience have been varied, including service to nonprofit advocacy, museum, and healthcare organizations. Prior to joining BU and CDS, she was the Senior Major Gifts Officer for Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals, within the Beth Israel Lahey Health system, where she worked to raise support and awareness for capital and programmatic projects that benefitted the Hospitals, as well as their North Shore and Cape Ann communities. Previously, Catie worked as a Major Gifts Officer at the Peabody Essex Museum in her hometown of Salem, MA, managing curatorial visiting committees and securing investments in exhibitions and programs. Her career began here in Boston at The Anti-Defamation League, New England, where she grew to become Assistant Director of Development, advancing and managing the organization’s Associate Board.

Catie has served as a director on the executive board of the Pilgrim John Howland Society and was a member of the Anti-Defamation League’s New England Region Associate Board. She has volunteered with and advised various non-profit boards and organizations, always eager to help show the impact that can be made through fostering relationships and making connections.
