Our Curriculum

Boston University’s online MS in Enterprise AI is a 30-credit program designed to help working professionals build, deploy, and govern AI systems in enterprise environments.

The program consists of 12 courses (30 credits total) delivered fully online and designed to be completed in four sequential semesters, plus two required 0-credit onboarding modules completed prior to the first semester. The format combines asynchronous coursework with scheduled live sessions.

Across the curriculum, students build practical skills in machine learning foundations, data engineering for AI, LLM application development (prompting, RAG, and fine-tuning), MLOps, enterprise agents, AI governance, and AI strategy. A program-long “Enterprise AI for Leaders” sequence runs through all four semesters and guides students from problem selection to prototype and final presentation.

What course topics will I study in this online MS in Enterprise AI curriculum?

Students study enterprise AI end-to-end, including machine learning foundations, data engineering for AI, LLM application development (prompting, RAG, fine-tuning), MLOps and model lifecycle management, enterprise agents, governance/ethics, and strategy and transformation. The Enterprise AI for Leaders sequence integrates applied work across all four semesters.

What is the application process?

To apply, submit transcripts, a CV or resume, proof of English proficiency, a personal statement, and any optional requirements (such as GRE/GMAT scores, etc.).
