I am currently a Clare Boothe Luce Fellow and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at Boston University. I am a member of the Perkins INfrared Exosatellite Survey (PINES) collaboration, and study the physical mechanisms behind the variability of L and T type dwarfs. I am extremely passionate about accessibility to STEM fields, and focus my outreach efforts on inclusivity of minority groups into physics and astronomy. Outside of research, I enjoy hiking, baking, and playing with my dog, Tesla! You can find out more on my website: https://ammccarthy.github.io/index.html.
