Inclusive Astronomy (IA) is an initiative dedicated to promoting inclusion both within and beyond the Boston University Astronomy Department. Through coordination of public engagement, science communication, and outreach, IA connects astronomy with underserved communities and inspires future generations of scientists. At the same time, IA fosters a supportive affinity group for self-identified underrepresented members of the astronomy department at BU, creating opportunities for community building, dialogue, and advocacy around equity and inclusion in astronomy.
