Ciarra is a third-year Astronomy PhD student at Boston University, working in the BU White Dwarf Group with Prof. JJ Hermes. Ciarra primarily studies the photometric modulation of white dwarf spots through TESS and Kelper data in an effort to better understand and constrain white dwarf magnetic field origins.
