With winter break just around the corner, now is a good time to take advantage of holiday festivities throughout Boston. Browse a ceramics show, sip some tea at a Newbury Street pop-up, or check out a popular BU Christmas service. The opportunities are endless, so grab your coat and scarf and hit the town.
Burro Bar
Head to Burro Bar to enjoy delicious Mexican fare and a selection of more than 100 tequilas. Enjoy bottomless brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, where you can feast on endless tapas-style portions of huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, egg benedicts, papas bravas, and more. Cocktails are also served.
Burro Bar has two locations, 1665 Beacon St., Brookline, and 1357 Washington St., Boston. Hours vary at each location.
Harvard Ceramics Program Winter Show and Sale
Harvard’s Office for the Arts hosts an exhibition and sale of original ceramics artwork twice a year. A wide range of creations will be available, from dinnerware to sculpture. This year, more than 95 artists from the Ceramics Program will be exhibiting.

Marsh Chapel Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols
BU’s 49th annual Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols is this weekend. Modeled after the famous service at Oxford University’s King’s College, the liturgy is one of the University’s most popular events. There will be an open house at the BU Castle following the Sunday service.
The Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols is at 6 pm on Friday, December 9, and 11 am on Sunday, December 11, at Marsh Chapel, 735 Commonwealth Ave., Boston.
Harvard Art Museums Exhibition Tour: Dare to Know: Prints and Drawings in the Age of Enlightenment
Join Harvard Art Museum curator Elizabeth Rudy as she shares the historic and cultural impact of the university’s collection of 18th-century prints. The collection leans heavily on scientific drawings, which reflect changing attitudes in the era of discovery.
The tour begins at 12:30 pm at the Harvard Art Museums, 32 Quincy St., Cambridge. Tours are free with museum admission. Reserve your spot here.
Pure Leaf Holiday Pop-Up
Swanky Newbury Street will play host to a holiday-themed pop-up this weekend to celebrate Nestle Pure Leaf’s partnership with Hallmark Channel’s new movie, Christmas Class Reunion. The event will feature tea-infused mocktails and holiday photo opportunities. Attendees will also get an exclusive sneak peek at the movie.
