Boston Chipyard, located in Faneuil Hall, has become a popular destination for both tourists and locals drawn to the company’s delicious, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. You can buy a classic chocolate chip cookie that’s slightly crisp on the outside and soft in the middle, as well as unique twists on the classic, including a mint chocolate chip cookie, walnut or macadamia nut chocolate chip cookie, and oatmeal raisin chocolate chip cookie. Individual cookies are $2, or $9 for a dozen ($10 if they have nuts in them).

This Dorchester bakery prides itself on its wide selection. Their “Hazel’s Chocolate Chip” cookie is an irresistible mix of buttery sweetness and rich, dark chocolate. But you can also munch on “Boston Lager Chocolate Chip” cookies made with, yes, Samuel Adams’ Boston Lager. And you can beat the heat with a chocolate chip cookie sandwich with a scoop of ice cream between two cookies. Cookies are $9 for a stack of six.
