As a new semester—and a new year—begins, BU Today takes a look back at last semester, as seen in more than two dozen Close-ups between late August and December 2015. We’ve included such annual rites of passage as Move-in, Dining Services Lobster Night, and the College of Arts & Science physics department’s Pumpkin Drop, as well as special events like the student-sponsored vigil for the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks, the dedication of the Samuel M. Fineman Law Library, and the arrival of a rare astronomical phenomenon known as a super blood moon, which lit up the night sky in late September.
