MBTA warns of delays

With the MBTA’s commuter rail, trolley, and subway lines back up and running, and with snow cleared from major streets and arteries, the Charles River Campus and the Medical Campus return to their normal schedule on Wednesday, February 11. All classes and services will take place as scheduled. All dining facilities and libraries will operate on their regular schedule, as will the BU Shuttle bus service (the BUS) and FitRec. All parking lots will be open, although the capacity of some surface lots may be reduced because of large piles of snow.
Those taking public transportation should allow for extra time during Wednesday’s commute. The MBTA says there will be fewer cars running than normal, and service will be less frequent. A citywide parking ban remains in effect until 5 p.m. Wednesday.
As work crews at BU and across the region continue cleaning up massive amounts of snow, the National Weather Service is predicting light snow for Thursday and bitter cold temperatures this weekend.
