YouSpeak: Star Wars
Disney’s purchase of beloved franchise has many worried
When word came in late October that Disney had purchased Lucasfilm for approximately $4 billion, Star Wars fans expressed concern about the future of the franchise. How would Han Solo and Luke Skywalker fit into a studio roster that includes the likes of Mickey Mouse and Buzz Lightyear?
And when Disney said it would make at least three more Star Wars movies, the internet buzzed with speculation about what the new ownership could lead to: a Steamboat Wookie character? An Epcot Death Star?
We wanted to know what you think. So this week’s “YouSpeak” asks: “How do you feel about Disney owning the Star Wars franchise?”
“YouSpeak” typically appears each Monday.
