In the latest installment of our video series Leaders Among Us, Boston University President Melissa Gilliam speaks with Merav Opher, a College of Arts & Sciences professor of astronomy, renowned for her pioneering research on the heliosphere. Opher is director of the SHIELD NASA DRIVE Science Center, a multi-institutional effort headquartered at BU studying the heliosphere and heliospheric processes. In their conversation, Opher talks about her research, the pursuit of transformative science, and the qualities that make for a successful leader.
