SDM adds two new department chairs

Boston University welcomes two appointees to the dental medicine community this fall, Leslie Anne Will and George Huang (SDM’88,’89,’92).
Will is the new Anthony A. Gianelly Chair in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and director of the postdoctoral program in orthodontics at the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine.
She holds a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, a D.M.D. from Harvard University School of Dental Medicine, and an M.S.D. and a Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Washington.
Coming to SDM from at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where she was a professor and graduate program director, Will holds an appointment at Massachusetts General Hospital, is a member of the American Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Association, the International Association of Dental Research, the American Association of Orthodontists, and the Northeast Society of Orthodontists and is an American Board of Orthodontists examiner.
Huang has been named to fill the Herbert Schilder Chair in Endodontics and become director of the Postdoctoral Program in Endodontics.
He holds a D.D.S. from Taipei Medical College and a Certificate in Endodontics, an M.S. in dentistry, and a D.S. in oral biology, all from SDM.
He has held faculty positions at Boston University, the University of California, the University of Maryland, Kaohsiung Medical University, and most recently, Columbia University.
Both Will and Huang are international lecturers with numerous peer-reviewed articles.
