BU students on their worst Thanksgiving memories

Click on the video above to watch students discuss their worst Thanksgiving moments.

It’s that time of the year — turkeys are flying (not literally) off supermarket shelves, South Station and Logan Airport are preparing for the onslaught, and college-types citywide have started fasting to conserve belly-space for next Thursday’s feast.

Thanksgiving is the quintessentially American holiday, the one time each year that everyone makes the pilgrimage home. Which invariably means something will go wrong.

From turkeys catching fire to a travel ordeal that includes hitchhiking in the rain, everyone has a Thanksgiving moment funny, scary, or embarrassing enough to share. BU Today took to the streets in hopes of capturing some of those memories. We got a lot more than we bargained for.
