Jenai Humphreys

Jenai received her BA from the University of California, Irvine, where she majored in English Literature and Theater Arts. She went on to earn a Master’s in Journalism at Boston University and she has since written for local and international publications, including the Boston Globe, Quillette, the Sun Chronicle of Attleboro, and Vita Bella Travel. As a creative writer and published essayist, Jenai completed her Ph.D., specializing in 19th to 21st-century French literature, thought, and culture. In addition to teaching various French courses at BU, she recently spent a year teaching English composition and translation at France’s Ecole Normale Supérieure in Lyon. She loves to read, write, travel, and take long walks and bike rides with her husband Jared and her two-year-old son, Ian Marcel.
