Josh Kurtz

As the ERC’s Graduate Writing Support Specialist, Josh supports, facilitates, and evaluates a portfolio of writing programs, including Dissertation Writing Groups, Accountability Partnerships, and the Graduate Writing Workshop Series. Through 1:1 mentorship, as well as community gatherings, Josh works with students to develop their writing skills, discover their unique voices, and foster confidence.

Before coming to BU, Josh worked as a community organizer, educator, and writer in Boston, Washington, D.C, and Brasov, Romania. He recently graduated from Harvard Divinity School, where he studied Jewish mysticism, grief, and ethics. Outside of BU, he loves to weave scarves and tapestries, write poetry, and go on long runs on the Somerville Community Bike Path.
