Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering is one of two programs offered by the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering. Electrical engineering is a broad discipline that encompasses a wide range of technologies, including compact discs, cellular phones, high-definition TV, lasers, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), digital computers, the Internet, and more. Students in this field are required to develop a strong foundation in electronics, computers, electrophysics, and signals and systems analysis. The diversity, flexibility, and design emphases of the Electrical Engineering program provide students with a broad foundation of creative problem-solving skills.

Graduates of the program are prepared to pursue further education or build a successful career and contribute to the well-being of their profession and community.
