Dance

Welcome students, faculty/staff, alumni and general public!

Need more dance in your life? Summer noncredit classes are now registering! Work towards your ideal beach body with classes including Ballet, Cardio Jazz Funk, Hip Hop, Belly Dancing, Pilates, Bollywood, and Tango. Find out more and register here!

The Dance program allows participants to become aware of their physical and creative capabilities, and to increase their understanding of dance as a physical discipline, an art form and a social phenomenon. You can pursue dance as a performance art or recreational activity by taking advantage of our technique and theory courses. We offer courses in traditional genres including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and improvisation; ethnic dance styles such as belly dance, Capoeira, Irish and Salsa; as well as, Hip Hop, Cardio Jazz Funk, Pilates, and ballroom styles. There are also courses in history, aesthetics, composition and repertory classes.

Our BU Dance Theater is the site of dance performances and workshops and is available for rentals. Please check out the list below to see what else we offer.
