Plant Your Salad with Micki

Have you been working in your own garden or thinking about starting one? This may also offer you some inspiration if you’re seeking ways to be active and get outside! Micki Taylor-Pinney, Director of Dance, shares a glimpse of what things are looking like in her home garden:

“Purple tomatillos, Sun Gold Cherry, Yellow Mint, Mountain Merit. These are just a few of the varieties of organic tomatoes I found at my local farm stand. They are in planters in my partially sunny yard. Not ideal, but they will reward me. The Swiss chard, parsley, romaine lettuce, kale, hot and regular peppers, and pole beans are in my even-more-shady raised bed, and won’t be super productive, but nothing like picking your own salad. Oh, and the Genovese basil is in a planter on my deck. The dancing figures keep watch, but it is the fencing that keeps the rabbits away. Water when dry… and enjoy!”
