Branch Out is a new initiative from Boston University’s Community Service Center that is dedicated to environmental community service in Boston!
Branch Out connects students with opportunities to learn about and be stewards of Boston’s urban ecosystem. Volunteers will engage in service for the people, plants, animals, and public spaces of Boston while building community on campus and in the city.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Branch Out has service events on the weekend and educational meetings during the week before each event. Branch Out service projects are designed as one-time-events that you can attend as your schedule allows. New volunteers are always welcome, no experience needed! Just show up! In the past, we have volunteered by planting trees in Dorchester, starting a native plant garden in Allston, removing invasive species from the Charles, and restoring clam populations in Hingham.
