Cross-Registration

University Policy

Questrom School of Business Policy

Undergraduate Program

Questrom School of Business students may not take business courses at any other school or college, including the other schools and colleges within Boston University. Students are encouraged to consult an academic advisor before cross-registering for courses other than their non-business requirements.

Cross-Registration at Other Universities

Formal cooperative arrangements for cross-registration have been made between Boston University and several nearby institutions. During the fall and spring semesters, matriculated students may not enroll concurrently in any course or institution other than those that are a part of the consortium agreement.

A consortium agreement among Boston University, Boston College, Brandeis University, Hebrew College, and Tufts University permits Questrom students to cross-register for one non-business course per semester at any of the institutions after completing their freshman year.

PhD Program

Boston University, Boston College, Brandeis University, Tufts University, and Hebrew College are members of a consortium that permits matriculated students from one consortium institution to enroll in a course at another consortium institution. According to consortium arrangements, tuition for approved courses will be paid to Boston University. All courses taken through the cross-enrollment process must be approved by the department PhD Liaison.
