About the exhibit: Painting& is a group exhibition featuring four artists questioning the definition of painting. The exhibition highlights the ways in which painting has transformed into an expansive expression incorporating a variety of mediums and techniques. Grounded in a contemporary and regional context, the exhibition features newly commissioned artwork by Cicely Carew, Chanel Thervil, Kate Holcomb Hale, and Soyoung L. Kim. Painting& presents these artists together for the first time. This exhibition is guest curated by Mallory Ruymann. Learn more about this exhibit and the exhibiting artists. About the dance performance: Dance artist and educator Nora Stephens, along with her dance partner MacKenzie LeTorre, will perform an original piece inspired by the work from Kate Holcomb Hale.
