Learning Assistant Program
The Undergraduate Neuroscience Program utilizes Learning Assistants in many of the classes. The Learning Assistant (LA) Program here at Boston University helps improve undergraduate education by training students in teaching methods and practices. LAs help their fellow undergraduates by providing them with knowledgeable and experienced peer educators, and LAs enhance their own learning abilities through their understanding of pedagogy.
Neuroscience Classes using Learning Assistants are:
- NE 101 Introduction to Neuroscience
- NE 102 Introduction to Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience
- NE 116 Integrated Science Experience I
- NE 203 Principles of Neuroscience with Lab
- NE 204 Introduction to Computational Models of Brain and Behavior
- NE 212 Introduction to MATLAB Programming for Research in Psychological & Brain Sciences
- NE 218 Integrated Science Experience II
Our program recruits new learning assistants in November and April for the upcoming semester! The application will be available on the Learning Assistant Alliance!
