Learning Assistant Program at Boston University
An introduction to the Learning Assistant Program
Welcome to the Learning Assistant Program! The Learning Assistant (LA) Program here at Boston University helps improve undergraduate education by training students in teaching methods and practices. LAs help their fellow undergraduates by providing them with knowledgeable and experienced peer educators, and LAs enhance their own learning abilities through their understanding of pedagogy.
The Boston University Learning Assistant Program is based on the Learning Assistant Model, which began at the University of Colorado at Boulder with funding from NSF. More information is provided on the the Learning Assistant Alliance website.
Join us on May 5 at the Experiential Learning Expo where students completing their first semester as learning assistants will showcase their final projects redesigning a small aspect of the course in which they taught.
