For researchers who need resources beyond those which the SCC provides, BU has established relationships with national and regional resources.
BU participates in the Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) Campus Champions program which provides access to NSF supported computing resources and training programs.
BU is one of the operators of the Commonwealth Computational Cloud for Data Driven Biology (C3DDB) computing facility which supports life sciences research.
The Massachusetts Open Cloud (MOC), of which BU is a major collaborator, is a developing project whose goal is to create an OpenStack public cloud for use by academia and industry. The MOC offers compute, storage, and Big Data cloud services and is actively looking for researchers to participate in its ongoing evolution.
