The Outlook email, Calendar and Contacts that you access by logging in to Office 365 can also be accessed through desktop clients, including Outlook and the Mac Mail program.

Use of the most current version of Outlook is recommended and Microsoft products are available to faculty and staff through BU’s Microsoft Enterprise Agreement. Outlook 2013 for Windows and Outlook 2011 for the Mac are both available (along with the full Office suite) for use on a BU-owned machine AND for use at home.

  • If you are configuring your desktop client after your account has been migrated to Office 365, you should not need to make any configuration changes. Your mail client should have been shut down before the migration and it will auto-discover the new server, after migration, once you restart it.
