How to Run Selected Funds Management Reports

BW How to Run – FM Unrestricted Budget to Actual by Fund Center
Execute this report to display a summary view of unrestricted accounts for one or more Fund Centers. The report provides a snapshot of budget (can be broken out by recurring and non-recurring), income/expense actuals, payroll actuals, and commitments and includes unexpended budget and percent of budget expended. Data is displayed for fiscal year-to-date through the fiscal period specified.

Drill-down is available to: (1) detailed General Ledger/Commitment Item information, (2) detailed income and expenses, (3) actuals with pay detail (if user has proper authorization), (4) detailed commitments, and (5) detailed budget entries.

BW How to Run – FM Designated-Restricted Balance and Activity
Use this report to display a summary view of designated, grant and non-grant restricted accounts for one or more Funds Centers. The report provides a snapshot of balance carry-forward from prior year, income/expense actuals, payroll actuals and commitments. In addition, it includes unexpended budget and percent of budget expended. Data is displayed for fiscal year-to-date through the period specified.

Drill-down is available to: (1) detailed General Ledger/Commitment Item information, (2) detailed income and expenses, (3) actuals with pay detail (if user has proper authorization), and (4) detailed commitments.

BW How to Run – FM Endowment Principal and Spendable

Execute this report to view principal and spendable information for endowment accounts in a single display. Available information includes: principal balance, number of shares, spendable balance, and spendable revenue and expense.

BW How to Run – Designated-Restricted Balance and Activity – 3 Years

Execute this report to view designated and restricted account activity for the last three completed fiscal years. Data in the report is presented initially at the account summary level, although GL account detail is available. Alternatively, one can drill-down to the Designated/Restricted Balance & Activity, GL/CI Detail – 3 Yr report from any of the data cells in this report (the Detail report can also be run directly from the Business Warehouse Reporting portal).

BW How to Run – FM Endowment Principal and Spendable report
Execute this report to view Principal and Spendable information for Endowment Accounts in one report. This includes:

  • Principal Balance
  • # of Shares
  • Spendable Balance
  • Spendable Revenue & Expense

Reports Available to Administrators Responsible for Position Budgets

BW How to Run – Position Budget – FM Reconciliation report
Execute this report to reconcile Funds Management position budget amounts against planned budget amounts. The report displays aggregated position budget amounts by Commitment Item as of a particular date for a specified Funds Center or Funded Program.

BW How to Run – Position Management report
Execute this report to display a list of positions that are active as of a particular date for a specified Master Cost Center, Funds Center, or group of Funds Centers. For each position, the following information is provided: budget amount, funding source, salary distribution and employee currently occupying the position.
