For most flavors of Unix this information will belong in /etc/ntp.conf, check your local documentation to be sure.
Our campus NTP servers are:
- ntp1.bu.edu [128.197.27.107]
- ntp2.bu.edu [128.197.27.108]
- ntp3.bu.edu [128.197.26.103]
We recommend that you use our campus NTP servers for your time needs. Our servers are rigorously maintained and synchronize with a variety of external time sources which are chosen based on geographic location, clock accuracy, and redundancy of network paths over both the Internet and Internet-2.
NTP comes preconfigured for BU Linux and Solaris 10 when installed via jumpstart.
BU NTP servers are not available to systems off-campus.
